Silverdale is a free to play Online RPG which is constantly being updated. The game is currently in development, but there is an playable beta currently released.. Silverdale is a community based game which focuses on exploration, fighting bosses, PVP, guilds and much more! In Silverdale you can from 4 totally different player Classes. All having totally different skills and spells and equipment.

Silverdale has been running since February and is still in a very early state.. There are stuff that arent completely done yet, along with stuff which are to be done. By registering on the forums you have your chance to voice your wishes and help the development of Silverdale. We also host fun Forum contests which can win you In-Game items, gold and player looks! Greetings Silverdale(-ians?).

Today I started on mapping some new stuff, while I obtained a world map from a great guy named NetherPhoenix (I call him NP, so the Phoenix might be spelled differently :P). That allowed me to find out about all the map bugs that he found, since he thankfully circled them for me.

I will continue to fix those ASAP.

Also on the other hand, a further few maps have been opened, along with the Southern caves. They are not done yet completely, since I am hoping to find something nice to do with them at the end :P.

Furthermore, we have a new addition to the Silverdale Staff team. Dude has been hired as a mapper to help out SD in its time of need. Dude and I will be looking forward to planning out something nice that people will enjoy.

On another notice, I havent been able to talk with ZoSo or Giaken, so as of now, there is no source that I can use to implement a quest system. Due to that you will notice I wont be on Silverdale as much, since I am hoping to find a way around this, which I might hopefully.

I hope you guys enjoy the caves, take notice the boss especially, and the monsters are subject to change if need be.

Another Entrance to Delara?

Hey guys,

Sorry for the late updates guys, but truly they have been coming daily at a very fast pace, just I don't write about them up here. Try exploring all of the area before the Cursed Woods to see the changes and the removal of invisible barriers.

Apart from that minor glitches at areas have also been fixed, and rewards are being offered for any map glitches that are found and reported to me in game.

Anyways on with the update.


[color=#BF0000">Recently while scouting out the area fishermen have found another dock at the island of Delara.

Further investigations in to the matter showed that passageway was safe for alchemists, treasure hunters, and adventurers alike.

Many different species of creatures have been identified at the location as well, hinting at new collectable items that would fetch a high price in the market.

As adventurers try to become the first to explore this section of the fabled Delara Isles, they prepare by polishing their armor, and sharpening their swords.

Good luck traveller, on whatever it is you seek to achieve at the fabled Isle of Delara.

Hello guys.

Alright 2 types of "staffs" to talk about.

The ingame wizard/celestial staffs are done until level 30 and are added alongside the other weapons.

Now the other type of staff needed by Silverdale is people who would like to help develop it. Currently I would say Silverdale needs mappers most of all, and saying that I would say right now 1 or 2 is a good number. If you think you are good enough to map, or help fix maps in Silverdale, please let me know by submitting a full application to me in PMs.

Resuming Work

Hey guys, it's been a while.

Last night my PC got infected by some silly willy virus, but I managed to get a backup of the server. You might be rolled back by about 1 second... :(

Anyways, with exams nearing, and me not caring, I'll be working on SD starting this weekend. I hope I get to see some of you that have been keeping SD alive while I was busy.

Also, I am now looking for help with this immense task, and I would prefer people from SD, who already know the game, over other people.

I will make a post about that soon, to let people know what I am looking for, also examples will be needed.

Yeah, after some talk to Giaken.. We came up with a pretty wild idea.
But its pretty sweet..

I mean, we're currently working on Silverdale 2 right?.. So why not make it Silverdale 2 for realz.. So to say xD.

Lately ive been pixeling a base paperdoll sprite in the same style as the Mack sprites currently in use in Silverdale.. I mean it would be pretty sweet to have the entire game fully custom, like all graphics customly made for Silverdale.. So yeah, we're going with that idea.



Allthrough i must say, this is an afterthought.. and who knows, we might change our mind.. we'll just have to see how it goes. Also im looking for potentional pixel artists to help me out. Especially with Spell Effects and Monsters.. But also some Tiling.

We're shooting for a total Snes experience with Silverdale 2.. So yeah, its gotta be fancy :).. And its time to move on, it'd be fun to work on snes styled graphics.. Without having to rip em :P.

Yeah.. its been a while :). Both me and Harold have had our hands full with other stuff, and we've hardly talked to each other, ive been afk alot and when ive been at the computer Harold hasnt been online.

But we're gonna work on the project, i got a GUI preview coming up next ;).

Updates - Silverdale (Normal/Old)

Just a bit of information on what has been occuring in the game that I haven't posted about on the Forums (its so time consuming :(), enjoy a long read with a warm cup of Tea.

So far I have added 25 weapons for classes (fighter/guardian). These weapons consist of new OH's, MH's, and Polearms.

In the near future I hope to make shields guardian only.

This will isolate the fighter from becoming a "semi-tank" class and be solely for DPS (thanks to the 9 new OH's implemented in the game, SO FAR).

Also, guardians and fighters will use the same MH swords. In the off-hand fighters will have OH's, while guardians have shields.

The fighters will have 2handers all to themselves as well, and the guardians will have polearms (they will do slightly less damage than 2handers, but will have stats related to guardians). This will make the classes further develop into achieving there maximum potential.

I have decided not to implement the other 35 weapons that are already done until I make the staffs, and shields.

The fighter/guardian restrictions will be added to all the current and future shields/swords (2hander) after I decide that everything that will be needed to be added is done.

After that I hope to start mapping some new areas for the newbie areas, followed by some mapping of level 10-25ish.

Kar'Gorath is completed but will not be released until I think there are atleast some level 30's playing in the game, and until I can decide on the drops by the Bosses.

This was a long awaited thread, but note that these changes have slowly been going on in the game, I wont spoil the new locations of the shops... apart from these following hints:

A stanger collector of various items has been seen near a Dark Cave...

A earthquake of magnitude 8.9 has hit Grimrock Hills... maybe some mountains collapsed...

This is just to tell everyone of what has changed (even though you already know since I have been telling everyone that is online in the game when I am).

Also, progress has been very slow for me since I have School for about 10-11 hours a day Monday-Friday, which all adds up to tons of homework as well. This is only until the end of May, after which I have exams in the first 2 weeks of June... and then I am free for the whole summer to work full-time on SD.

Thanks guys, I hope you all tag along for this wild ride and enjoy it. Expect more soon, if not in topic, then in game for sure (since making a topic is quite a hassle for me :P).




Paperdoll preview!

Another Paperdoll preview, im currently cutting out alot of the old sprites and making them work with paperdoll.

Ive made several head graphic files, and costumes! You'll be able to pick the start Clothing and Head in character creation. Ive also been working a bit on the Class Tree's, which ill post for inspection when its somewhat more finished.
